Day 133-143 12/22-12/31

Lots of good food and good times this past week. Check for the new blog tomorrow. Diet begins 1/1/14 with the goal being until 3/9/14 which is Rookie Rumble 4. That's what I'll leave you with for now...

PS- B you need to relinquish control to me on this blog so I can edit and spruce it on up. I can't do any of that right now since you're the administrator.

Day 132: 12/21/13

Hmmmmm...

Had a clif bar as soon as I woke up before our 8am class.

Had a banana and a protein shake with creatine after class.

While waiting for C at the dentist, I had a pack of beef jerky and probably more...

Lunch:
C stopped at the new sushi place after the dentist and got us sushi. It is "burrito" sushi so its basically in form of a burrito. We split three. We got a california roll (crab), salmon roll (all mine), and a vegetarian roll with sweet potatoes. They were all delicious.

After, I had the last of the pumpkin ice cream with chocolate chips.

Dinner:
Two slices of our pizza.

Had some dates in between and a peppermint patty after. Also had a cinnamon candy cane and some pretzels.

Bad day. But oh so yummy.

Day 131: 12/20/13

Grabbed a clif bar before taking C in and had a Greek yogurt when I got back.

Lunch:
Chicken and pepperoni torts

Had a date and peppermint patty after.

Second lunch:
Sweet potatoe with cinnamon and black beans 
Torts in tomato soup

I had this around 4 cause I was still hungry. Clyde made me realize I probably didn't have enough fat to fill me today cause I was just constantly eating.

I had a bowl of cereal before that second lunch.

Before class, I ate an apple. After class, I had a banana and a protein shake with creatine.

Dinner:
Had two pieces of pepperoni and the rest of the torts in tomato soup

Gotta get all the food and carbs in I can before our 8am Fran tomorrow. 



Day 130: 12/19/13

Hmm think back. Oh yeah. Had a bar on the way out and a leftover quesadilla peice from C when I got home.

Lunch:
Chicken with BBQ sauce, broccoli, black beans and a sweet potato
Raspberries

Had a date after. I don't remember exactly what else. I know I had some coco pb and a kind bar. 

Dinner:
Pork belly with kimchi rice and peas

Oh so good. Haven't had peas since paleo but these were delish. I had to get some after B was talking about his. I don't want to cut any veggies out anymore if they don't upset my stomach. And peas definitely don't. 

Had a bowl of ice cream and some pretzels after. Was sharing a cinnamon candy cane with Clyde but apparently he thought I only wanted a small bit of it. I was not amused.

Day 129: 12/18/13

Had two kiwis before I left to take Clyde to work.

Had a bowl of cereal when I returned.

Now it's not even 11:30am and I'm starving so I'm having this:



Had a mojo bar before I went Christmas shopping. Got home and had a Greek
Yogurt, coco pb and a kind bar. 

Had a banana after class. 

Dinner:
Chicken, pepperoni and cheese sandwich with side of sweet potatoes

Day 128: 12/17/13

Grabbed a clif bar before dropping C off.

Had a bowl of cereal with chocolate mint coconut milk when I got home.

Lunch:
Burger with pork, broccoli and avocodo 
Raspberries 

Had one of these from C:
Gluten free and delish.

Had a Greek yogurt after.

Two kiwis after class.

Dinner:
BBQ pork, sweet potatoes, broccoli and avocado

I scream for ice cream!

Pretzels after.

Day 127: 12/16/13

Breakfast: had a banana and the last piece of pumpkin bread 

Had a bag of beef jerky before first set of my errands. 

Lunch:
Burger, broccoli, potatoes with butter 

Had a peanut butter clif bar and peanut butter cereal after errands. 

Had a protein shake with creatine after the WOD. 

Dinner:
Pork sandwich with tomato soup and avocado

Day 126: 12/15/13

Made a paleo banana pancakes recipe that mom tagged for me on Pinterest. It was actually really good.


Two of mine had chocolate chips in them. 

Then we went to open gym. I drank a recovery drink with creatine. Clyde said it is aminos. I bought it a while ago but didn't drink it when I went paleo. Clyde has it every now and then. He was bringing one today so I brought one too and it was much better tasting then I remember.

When we got home, I had my leftovers from last night.

Had an apple while we made dinner.

Dinner:
Plate of leftovers-
Pork, chicken, bacon, broccoli and potatoes 

Definitely having some pumpkin ice creme in a little bit. 

Had my pumpkin ice cream then some pretzels and hummus after. 



Day 125: 12/14/13

Split two different clif bars with C before class. After, I had a banana and a protein shake with creatine. Then we walked to the donut food truck and got these:

They were pumpkin and cinnamon flavor. So good. 

Lunch:
Pork quesadilla with guac

Dinner at Tribune Tavern:
Cauliflower soup

Tavern burger with fries, C had a steak with fries 

Split the brown butter cookies with cinnamon ice cream 

They gave us homemade jalapeño cheddar bread to start. It was delish. 

I shared some of C's fries with him after we got home and were watching tv. I also had a cinnamon candy cane.

Day 124: 12/13/13

Breakfast: Grabbed a clif mojo bar- really need to break this habit.

Had a mango Greek yogurt when I got home.

Lunch: 
I had two lunches. I had my leftover tortilini from yesterday then I made myself some pork, beans, asparagus, butternut sqaush and guacamole.

I also had a kind bar. Yikes. No filling me. Our gym is doing the next Whole Life Challenge starting January 11th. We both want to do it but I can't imagine we would stick to it on vacation and it's $50 a person. So I'm thinking no... We could just blog out own points since we know exactly what the rules are. Our gym might do their own too so if that happens it would be better. More info on that as it comes. You could do it with us cause they have a whole section for vegetarians and vegans. We all know you can't stick to a diet though...

Think I'm gonna go have some coco pb while I wait to pick Clyde up. I had a cinnamon candy cane too.

After class I had a banana.

Dinner:
Pork quesadilla with guac 

Had a Hershey kiss after. A white chocolate one that is.

Day 123: 12/12/13

Grabbed a clif bar before taking C to work. Looked at the back and realized they have 21% sugar. Ugh. Guess it's back to my mojo and kind bars. Not really ugh because I love them and they are what I'm used to eating. The clif ones just seem to fill me up a little longer.

Lunch:
Pesto torts with asparagus 

After I got home from Whole Foods, I had a mango Greek yogurt and some coco pb. Just had a pack of the beef jerky and a kind bar. I'm just soooo hungry all day everyday! Wish I had unlimited money so I could buy all the food I want without worrying about spending so much!! 

Dinner:
Yum!!!!!!

C had a headache so I made some good ole comfort fries (mainly for me). 

After I had a huge bowl of pumpkin ice cream with chocolate chips. Oh how I love food.


 

Day 122: 12/11/13

Grabbed a clif bar before dropping Clyde off. Knew I had a lot to get done today so I ate my lunch at 10:45am and got on the road.

Lunch:
Pulled pork with sweet potatoes 

Got home and had a mango Greek yogurt and the rest of the minestrone soup. Can't remember what else I ate before class but I could guess it was some coco pb.


After class, I had an apple and protein shake with creatine.

Dinner:
Pork belly with brown rice and asparagus. I must have been so hungry that I forgot to take a pic.

After I had a pack of the beef jerky from C's work and a scoop of vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips. So good.

Day 121: 12/10/13

Breakfast:
Pork, sweet potatoes and guacamole 

Lunch:
Minestrone soup with grilled cheese 

I wanted to make this for dinner last night but was way too lazy. Maybe we will have the leftovers for dinner tonight. 

C finally got in his new office! Now they are stocking it with health food galore! So happy! He said it is going literally as soon as they fill it but once it dies down he will be able to get more. Here's one treat he got me. Yum.

Hard to see. It's a dark chocolate covered nuts with sea salt.

Had a cinnamon candy cane after too. Then some sweet potatoes.

Look at all the goodies C brought home!
Beef jerky, apple chips, kind bars, teas and coconut water with pulp.

After class, I had a banana and a protein shake with creatine.  

Dinner:
Crap!!!! Didn't take a pic. It was the same thing as my lunch just a smaller portion.

Day 120: 12/9/13

Breakfast:
1/4 cup steel cut oats with cinnamon and banana chips

Had a scoop of coco pb before I went grocery shopping.

Lunch:
Pork, broccoli and half an avocado 

Had a mojo bar around 3:30pm. Wasn't hungry, just wanted some chocolate and to snack. 

Snacked on some sweet potatoes fresh out of the oven before class.

After class, I had my protein shake with creatine and carbs. 

Lazy after class. Had a banana and some coco pb.



Day 118&119: 12/7-12/8

Really bad paleo days. We were on the go the whole weekend so I can't even remember what I ate. I know it consisted of donuts and Starbucks. I did have some healthy meals though so it wasn't all kaput (is that a real word?). Anyways, no sense in dwelling in the past.

Day 117: 12/6/13

Split a peanut butter perfect bar with C before 9am class.

Had my new chocolate chip cookie dough protein shake after class. Yuck. No flavor. Has a slight buttered popcorn taste at the end too. Gonna have to try it with almond milk and see if that helps. Very disappointed though. I really want to find a flavor that I enjoy so I can look forward to having one right after class. Hopefully I like one of C's three flavors he got so I can see what direction to go next time.



I had a date, the rest of the chorizo fries from last night and a slice of pumpkin bread pudding when I got home. Now I'm waiting for Clyde's meeting to finish so I can cook us some real lunch. I'm still hungryyyy.



More lunch:

Dinner:
Chicken, quinoa and broccoli 

Currently siting in the car at the work party because we are double parked. 

Clyde just fit our car out between those two cars. It was amazing. 

Now were finally home. We were so mad. We will have to tell you all about it tomorrow. 

Had a million appetizers and desserts. So good yet so bad.

Karen tomorrow- literally may be my most feared work out. I hate wall balls.

Day 116: 12/5/13

Yay! C working from home today and tomorrow!! Woot woot! Except for we don't have an office so I have to pretty much leave when he has meetings (all day long).

Grabbed some bacon and a class of chocolate mint coconut milk. Took a mojo bar and ate that while I was on my errands.

Made lunch in between all the meetings! Phewf! 
Burger, bacon, broccoli and guacamole 

Dinner:
Chorizo fries with guac and black beans

Had a date in between. Then C made me a pecan drizzle milk shake. Yum.

Day 115: 12/4/13

Day three of feeling like crap. Not sure why I've had an upset stomach each morning. I thought maybe it was my body just throwing a fit for thanksgiving food last week but it seems like that shouldn't effect me this week. Who knows.

Grabbed a mojo bar for the car ride. Came home and had some bacon anddddd hmmm can't even remember. My stomach hurt so I didn't eat a lot. 

Had some tuna for lunch with an apple.

Had some dried mango, coco pb, coconut chia pudding and the rest of my tuna later on. 

Went to class not feeling great. Had a banana after. Felt better. 

Dinner:

Day 114: 12/3/13

Grabbed a mini pink lady for the drive. 

Breakfast:
1/4 cup steel cut oats with cinnamon, banana chips and bacon 

Not sure what it is about breakfast now but I didn't even want to eat this. I ate about half the bacon in the picture and really struggled to get the oats down. Ugh.

Had a few grapes in between breakfast and lunch.

Lunch:
Pork, sweet potatoes, broccoli and guacamole 

Had a date after lunch. 

Before class, I had some coco chia pudding, coco pb and a slice of dried mango (delish). 

After, I had a banana (and half of Clyde's) and a protein shake with creatine. 

Was too lazy for dinner. I had some sweet potatoes, bacon and dried mango. I had some pretzels while watching Homeland.
