Day Three: 8/14/13

Day Three was easier than Day Two. But I definitely need to follow B's advice and have some more fat with my breakfast to reduce cravings. It's hard because I drop Clyde off and by the time I get back I'm starving and have to make a whole breakfast so I do it as quick as I can. Guess I could cut up an avocado while I'm eating.

Anyways, I didn't get around to posting this last night because we got back from doing Murph at 9:45 and I was exhausted. Thought I did pretty well considering the circumstances (no partitioning, one pull up bar so we had to share, a little confusion in the beginning about what to use because we didn't have a box for me to jump to the bar on). My time was 1:03:37. I definitely would like to get my time under an hour. Pretty sore in my arms and upper back today but I have a feeling I will be more sore on day two of recovery. That's what usually happens to me.

Finally- meals!

Breakfast: 8:45am
Two eggs with spinach
Sweet potatoes
Grapes and a peach (YUM)
Creatine

Lunch: 12pm
Chicken salad with apples, celery, sunflower seeds, balsamic and olive oil

I did not like this meal because I ran out of lettuce so I had to use the iceberg head that I was using for tuna wraps. It was pretty bland.

Snack: Finally bought Larabars!! I had the apple pie and it was actually really good. They don't have as much protein as the balance bars I used to eat but they only have about 3-4 ingredients. For example, the cashew cookie has dates & cashews. That is all. The cheery pie has dates, almonds, unsweetened cherries. They are completely soy, dairy, gluten, GMO free, and vegan. So if I'm in a rush or on a hike or something, they are a great grab.

Dinner: 6:15pm
Yes! One of my favorite dishes. Garlic, onions, sweet potatoes, chorizo(or any meat), fire roasted tomatoes, paprika, oregano, and eggs. You cook everything up in a cast iron pan and then make some holes and put as many eggs in as you want. Stick the pan in the oven at 350* for about 15 minutes and cook the eggs to your preference. So good! Here's what it looks like before the oven eggs:
I forgot to take a picture of it after so here is a portion I used for my breakfast of day four:

After our Murph, I ate a fourth of a pear and apple. Also had another serving of the hash. Yum.
